His accent in Crazy/Beautiful vs. lack of accent in Hostel

How does Jay really talk? In Crazy/Beautiful, he uses an annoying nasal way of talking in which he pronounces the letter "l" funny. In Hostel he sounds more "normal". Which is the way he naturally speaks?

reply

I'd guess Hostel as the trivia mentions that he had to phonetically learn some of his Spanish lines for Crazy/Beautiful, as he does not speak it fluently. English is his first language.

In Crazy/Beautiful, he used an accent common to many American-born Latinos who grow up in a Spanish-speaking household. In Hostel, he spoke in "unaccented" American English.

Everyone has an accent, though I know what you mean. That being said, I know very little Spanish and even I can speak with an accent. He may have had a speech coach, though.

Well it has been a while since Crazy/Beautiful... and people lose their accents over time and with their enviroment. It might've forced more of Enlgish accent for Hostel, or more of a Spanish accent for Crazy/Beautiful because of his role.
