Cookie is her big break and she has obviously let the same go to her head/thinks she has to act like her character.

"What happened to her"?? Really, you're going to go there? Rather than putting folks down and bad mouthing them, why don't you just "pray for them and ask God to help them instead"? You nor I or anyone else on this fallen planet is perfect, and I'm quite sure if folks threw your mistakes back in your face, you wouldn't like it either. So much hating this is just so sad.

I'm disappointed at her, frankly. I was a big fan of her work in Hustle and Flow and especially Benjamin Button and she was nice, polite and professional back during that time. Then the trashy Empire happened and ruined her imo. She showed so much promise before it and now she's stuck with what it seems an alter ego of Cookie. I mean the money and fame must be nice but when this show is over no one will ever take her seriously anymore like before and will sadly probably be type cast in something equally as sub par and ghetto. All the while she'll probably have to make rounds on cheap daytime talk show to talk about 'racial profiling by the police' just for a few more minutes of fame.

Yes, I enjoyed her quality work in Hustle and Flow, and also in the film Talk to Me. She's awesome!

Well I'm sorry to hear she's so ratchet! I really don't know the woman and have no opinion, but came here to ask a question! I've only seen her in one program I watched years ago; "Boston Legal!" I just wondered why they had her in that long, horrible wig with bangs? She obviously has hair; what gives? Anybody? ;-/

In Empire, they need to soften her looks. They have her playing a real ghetto woman, and if she's the face of Empire, seems she would show more class.

I'm watching Think like a Man, and she's got great comic timing. She looks really great.

But in Empire she looks like a witch. All the heavy makeup and the arched eyebrows. Tone it down!

What's happened is a hit show! She's a confident and quite beautiful woman, there's nothing wrong with the way she carries herself. 
