I thought I was alone in this sentiment. I honestly can't stand the sound of her voice..She just hasn't shaked still sounding too much like Yvette from "Baby Boy" to me, even though that role was 16 years ago.. Most seem to love her simply because she is a black actress with a level of success. At times she acts more like a real life Cookie, and it's annoying. IMO her best role was the one in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"...and that was a role that took her completely out of herself which was a good thing. She was also pretty good in "Hustle and Flow"... No hate here for her. I just don't think she is rightfully in the class with A-list actresses for the most part, even though it seems Hollywood has a place for all types. She is not an amazing talent by any stretch of the imagination. Viola Davis is the best black actress in the business, but she likely loses work because she doesn't fit the ideal look of a lot of roles, which sucks and is unfortunate for her.

It did come of as a little bit tacky I thought, and especially the way she yelled at the young man who accidentally stepped on her train. She's a good actress but I cringed watching that whole bit with her.
Please don't put Diana Ross in the same group with those others you mentioned. She has very little class.
