Was Andy Dick responsible for Phil Hartman's death?

As reported by CBS, Lovitz revealed in an interview with Dennis Miller he heard from Hartman that Dick gave his 10-years sober wife, Brynn Hartman, cocaine at a Christmas party. Following the tragedy which left both Phil and Brynn Hartman dead, toxicology results showed she had been under the influence of cocaine and alcohol.

Dick later confessed he did give Brynn the drug. But he added she asked for it and was already experiencing a relapse, per ABC.

I doubt Dick is responsible for Phil's death. Phil was very, very self centered and never gave any attention to his 2 or 3 wives. Brynn was his trophy wife but she was extremely troubled I think she was hopped up on anti-depressants along with coke and alcy. Phil probably demanded a divorce the night he got killed, she was a complete train-wreck.

I think Dick is in some very recent trouble, he's talented but a screw up.

Weird coincidence. I just watched the horrible, but yet soothing movie The Gong Show (80) a few days ago.

Phil Hartman had a brief appearance in the movie (his first?) His character recognized Chuck Barris and stood behind him at a line in a airport asking if Barris would like to see his Brezhnev impression. Hartman's character was inexplicably holding a gun during the conversation.

I don't blame him. Dick is right in this case. If she wanted to get high, she would have whether she got it from Dick or someone else. It's not like drugs were difficult to find.

Phil Hartman was responsible for Phil Hartman's death. There were plenty of signs his wife was a psycho bitch, but he stuck by her anyway. Years before she killed him, there were articles about how messed up she was and a TV appearance they did together as a couple in the 1980s talking about their troubled marriage. She was so unstable that she was making scenes in public. (Paul Rodriguez witnessed one of her meltdowns.) He wanted to keep sticking his dick in crazy when he had plenty of opportunities to walk away. Why blame Dick when she was always a ticking time bomb that Hartman could've chosen to walk away from?

Yes

The world is full of people who take drugs or get hammered, or who relapse and crash after years of sobriety, and who don't kill their spouses.

Brynn Hartman is responsible for the death of Phil Hartman, nobody else.
