Since she became a name

Has she actually been in a good movie? I'm not trying to dog her but so far her best role was "Pirates". Since that movie her roles and movies have been bad. Am i missing a good movie she starred in?

Actually Naomie has done a lot. She was in a play earlier this year in England, She's going to be a Bond girl so that's pretty big and mainstream. Also, Naomie doesn't just do big budget movies she's a serious actress. Earlier this year Naomie got a lot of praise from critics for her performance in an indie film called The First Grader. She also was in a TV movie a few years ago called Small Island. Here's what I know in 2008 she was in an indie drama called August with Josh Hartnett.

I seen some of her indie work and it was not that good. I will check for First Grader.

Her best role was in 28 Days Later.

Check her out as a Jamaican immigrant (one of the main characters) in the pretty good 2-part British TV drama series,SMALL ISLAND; the action flick NINJA ASSASSIN,which I liked, except for the gore--she's the leading lady in that one, and of course, 28 DAYS, the film that first got her noticed. She also plays a main role in the 2002 TV miniseries WHITE TEETH, which is worth tracking down, especially if you liked the book, which was very good in its own right.

She never really became a name. The reality is that she most likely takes every reasonable role she is offered.

Naomie's career is clearly ON THE RISE, not just ANY actress gets a chance to be in a James Bond film. Also, Naomie is a black actress so getting into a major film like James Bond is huge exposure for her career to new audiences. Naomie's career is on the right track she's doing incredibly well.

She turned down a LOT of work in the US to do independent films and TV in the UK in recent years. The Bond film is the most HIGH PROFILE project she's done in a long time...i'm pleased for her.

I remember her saying that all the roles she was offered in the US were kinda ghetto roles with guns (she didn't use that exact terminology but that's what she meant)...and she wanted more. I don't blame her!

Naomi works consistently just because she isn't in blockbusters doesn't means she's dead.

The First Grader was a good movie.
