Even before I saw this message board, I KNEW that the topic in the longest thread would be about her colour. What sad place imdb has become. It never used to be like this. Nowadays, this topic seems obligatory.

And the best part is Naomie is NOT AMERICAN she's BRITISH and that's huge! Most of the high profile black actresses are African Amerian but for a British black woman to have the kind of success Naomie Harris is having is wonderful.
The only young black actress who is doing as well as Naomie right now. Skyfall is a huge role for Harris especially for a black actress to get international media attention, publicity,and of course it can hopefully lead to more leading lady roles.
I think she has a whiney voice and mediocre acting skills, so I would say her colour is one reason why she got the Moneypenny gig in Bond. Political correctness, not that she's any good.
