The British lost 150+ planes providing air cover for the evacuating soldiers. It would leave Great Britain almost completely exposed in the upcoming Nazi Air Raids. But in the long run Herman Goering struck out.
1. He couldn't finish the job at Dunkirk.
2. His air raids against Great Britain could not break the nation's will.
3. He lost the air war against the Soviet Union before the Nazi 6th Army
surrendered at Stalingrad.
