Absolutely terrible actress

Way too over dramatic. You can see where she's trying, and I guess you can't fault her for that. It's not like she's lazy. She does want to be a good actress not just a pretty movie star, but she just fails miserably. I.e. in The Town when she met Jem at the cafe, she was trying so hard to let the audience know she has no idea who both of them really are. Same with telling Doug about the robbery. Don't get me started on her over-melodramatic scenes when she finally found out who Doug really was. I really hope her career dwindles to the point where she can only get work in TV. (I don't watch a whole lot of TV dramas)

I thought she was pretty good in The Town. She has definitely had better performances, though.

Pity for you, many people DO consider her to be a good actress so I guess this so-called technique is working for her.

Many people do this, and many people do that. There are many people who love Justin Bieber, many people who hate the music of Mozart, etc etc. It doesn't change the fact that she isn't a good actress, it just proves that those many people of yours aren't able to recognize it.

She's outstanding.

I agree. I may not love every movie she's in, but I can't think of any bad performance. I think she's excellent.
