So he hasn't won an Emmy for 'Dexter'?

I've been a fan of the show since the beginning 'coz I was a fan of both Peter Krause and Michael since "Six Feet Under." They're both terrific actors and I'm glad Michael has this show to really showcase his talent.

Anyways, I just saw the season finale and was blown away. Michael is really getting better and better each season, I know he won a Golden Globe last year but I checked and saw that he hasn't won an Emmy yet? I find that puzzling. Michael as Dexter is the most compelling character on TV today, and he deserves an Emmy.

Heh well, I hope he wins one day.

Also, maybe the Emmy awards like to snub certain genres? I sure hope not! But then again, perhaps Dexter's too dark and creepy and so on, for them? Though I doubt so since Six Feet Under won a few Emmies.

I'm quite sure Michael doesn't live for the awards but for the challenge and joy of portraying different characters. If he was, he'd be grumbling and be snobbish towards others who've never won anything.

Theres quite the competition too. Bryan Cranston has (deservedly) won three times in a row for his dark and troubled character on 'Breaking Bad'. He also has Hugh Laurie and Jon Hamm to compete with.

I love Michael C. Hall and I think he is very very talented and I hope one day he wins too. I just don't think he's been 'snubbed'. Just in talented company.

Emmy are a joke so i'm glad he has not got one.

There's a Canadian band by the name of The Tea Party, they never quite managed to break into the US market, in an interview the singer put it well "you know, I've lived in LA for years now and after having heard American radio I think we'd be insulted being on there. We'd have to ask 'what the hell are we doing wrong?!'"...the emmy's are in the same area for me, the real powerhouse actors, the brilliant, trained shakespearean virtuoso's are rarely even mentioned unless their show or whichever happens to be a big blockbuster hit.

There's a simple test for Hall though, take a look at his performance in Six Feet Under, a closeted, self-loathing, shy gay guy...and in Dexter, a confident, vicious killer. The fact that he managed to play BOTH parts so well that I actually bought them is a statement in and of itself. The guy is one hell of an actor, which is one of the big reasons I have my doubts he'll win many Emmy's...he's just, too good.

Totally disagree....

I have watched all of these series, and I would say that the best two actors in all of these series are Bryan Cranston and Matthew Fox with Hugh Laurie right there too...Matthew Fox had to share the screen with too many other guys, so his screen time was just too limited. Cranston winning three years in a row is accurate.

He didn't deserve them any of the times Cranston won it, as for when he was "snubbed", that might be true, but Spader deserved it then anyway. The competition is really good.
