Would I enjoy Six Feet Under?

I didn't like SFU. I tried to like it and I watched the first season and half of the second but I just couldn't get into it. It's a bit slow moving and I found myself uninterested.

I love, love, love Dexter though and it's given me a whole new appreciation for MCH as an actor. He's brilliant.

True Blood is so NOT my cup of tea. I watched the first season (at the urging of so many friends) and I thought it was ridiculous. Just way to over-the-top campy for my taste.

SFU is probably the best TV show ever made. It's not very long, only 5 series of 12 episodes (same format as Dexter and True Blood).

But it is a drama. There's violence here and there and comedy, but it's mostly a drama and it's quite slow paced in places. It's very well written and acted and has several unique storylines and interesting characters.

The way the show ends is probably the best payoff ever in any tv show.

Give the first series a go. You'll never know otherwise.

I started watching it because of Michael C. Hall after getting addicted to Dexter .

If you can't appreciate SFU you probably enjoy much worse shows, in my opinion of course. :) I keed. I loved SFU.

Six Feet Under might be one of the greatest drama series of all time for me.

I agree completely, I think it's the best show ever made, I was shocked at how much I loved it.

The similarities between Dexter and True Blood can only be the actors though, because they're nothing similar except for the occasional black humor. And I also agree with the finale, probably the best finale to any TV series, ever.

I agree with cLoNe. Simply one of the top series ever. The acting is top notch and the characters are amazing. I hated one more than I ever hated someone in a series and I love so many of them.
