Brenda in Six Feet Under is so complex and engaging. The transition throughout the series is spectacular. It's a shame an actress of Rachel Griffith's caliber is settling for banal roles for Brother and Sisters.

I am like you though, in that I wonder why she took the role in "brothers and sisters." Obviously you can't replicate a role as good as "brenda;" a role like that comes once in a lifetime. But do actors really need to take crappy roles for the money.. I mean, she's already a multi-millionaire... I could understand if she was living pay check to paycheck, but she's loaded... why does she need to take *beep* roles? Just sort of wondering in general why actors do that.
