Oh, Rachel!!!!!

What possessed you to take a role in that schmaltzy crap fest that is 'Brothers and Sisters'? I know you've got to pay the bills but you were up there with Winslet, Kidman, Collette et al in the 90s with excellent performances in diverse roles. Sure you can be forgiven for your foray into TV with the complex, well-written character in Six Feet Under but now you're just Mary-Ellen in 'The Waltons' of the new millennium. Rhonda would be spinning in her wheelchair. Pity.

You can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be lead.

Rachel’s approaching forty and it’s going to get harder and harder for her to work. Brothers and Sisters provides her with.stability

Regardless of the quality of the show itself, Rachel Griffiths continues to turn our brilliant performances. Her portrayal of Sarah Walker is the highlight of the show, in my opinion.

That's exactly how I felt when I first saw a BS episode.
But times are tough and a few months ago when I ran out of dvd's and illegal...stuff... I was (sadly) drawn into the ups and downs of Sally Fields' family life sans husband. Once I was able to fast forward through Ally Mcbeal and her whining,I found that the only story line that hooked me was in fact Brenda's...
She added some real emotion and humour ,Matthew Rhys also.
But since my therapy ended I have checked out many of her movies , mainly TV and indie, revisited some old classics, Hilary and Jackie and saw the Julian Assange tale. All is not lost , it's just that the bad times for our fav actors aren't easy to miss when it's on the plasma.
