His films are beautiful

No disagreement here.

I know this sounds like an ignorant person's exaggeration, but I believe that All the Real Girls is the pinnacle of human artistic endeavours to date. I certainly don't expect everyone to have the same reaction to it; but emotionally, visually, mentally, even spiritually/philosophically, this film strikes a flawless chord with me.

The first half of the film is so beautiful that it hurts (really the whole movie is, but much of the last half is too painful). It's like when you meet a woman, who is so amazing, so brilliant, so gorgeous, so loving that you ache all over and you're simultaneously content and anxious...that's how this movie make me feel.

This movie made me want to start writing again, but it also made me realize how bad my stuff is by comparison.

Talk about overreacting...
