I'm excited for the Supiria remake

All I'm going to say is I loved the original and normally I'd be against this, but I'm a huge David Gordon Green fan and I believe he is capable of pulling a remake off.

I don't want Suspiria fans to get angry at me because I'm supporting the remake. I don't think they should be complaining until we know for sure that the remake has been screwed up.

I completely agree with you. I loved the original, and I also love David Gordon Green. Even if I wasn't a fan of his, I would be interested to see how the project would turn out.

We don't need to see the result of the remake, don't fix what isn't broken. David Gordon Green last films haven't been that good anyways.

I totally agree. Suspiria is in my view THE best horror movie of all time, and as much as DGG is a talented director, I think nobody should remake Suspiria, not even Argento himself.

The theater is like a faithful wife. The film is the great adventure, the costly, exacting mistress

The thing about Suspiria is that the story is totally trite and mundane, but that doesn't matter. It's the music and visuals that really capture your attention. A more developed story might have even distracted from that and killed the atmosphere and pacing of the film, which is why a remake doesn't make any sense. There are no flaws in the way the original was directed - it took a really forgettable plot and elevated it into something hauntingly beautiful.
