Complete Liar

In some Q & A interviews on youtube, he goes around saying that he does not come from money, and doesnt know anyone from money, and how much he had to struggle to get the film made.

Yet on the Charlie Rose interview he did for George Washington, Charlie exposes him for the rich kid that he is. He point blank asks him about his father being the dean of a medical school, and his whole family being comprised of doctors and scientists.

If you're gonna make people believe that they can also struggle and raise the money to get their indie funded, at least he should be honest about it, instead of giving aspiring filmmakers false hope. What a prick.

Just because he comes from a rich family, it doesn't mean that he necessairly used them to make his film. Jason Reitman had a lot of opportunities to direct any film he wanted because of his father, and even then, he went through the motions to become a filmmaker (making short films and his first movie being a passion project). Also, it's very likely he was only talking about people with connections to Hollywood and the like. I don't see how doctors and scientists would help him get into film.

Wait? What sort of money are we talking about here? Doctors and especially scientists are not guaranteed to be sitting on a mound of cash. What exactly did he say that was a lie?

What if a squirrel wants a sausage?

Apparently he was middle class and didn't have to "struggle" so much as he may have pretended.

Not much of a "lie" there. Whatever, he's a pretentious little phoney who is not worth the time it took to type this post.
