Your Highness was bad
Truly bad. It was so dumb and childish, this guy can do so much better.

shareEh, i actually thought it was clever and original..
It makes me sad to see it getting trashed so thoroughly. People complain
there's nothing original out there, and then slag on originality when
it comes along!
He probably can do better, but this wasn't bad.
As far as low-brow stoner movies, I like it better than a lot of others.
Wait wait wait... originality? A lot of the story was taken from Shakespeare and older literature but to make it 'funny', characters swore. HOW ORIGINAL!
And everybody keeps saying that it was good for 'a stoner film' but they spent $50 million on this! You've got to surely expect better than 'good for a stoner film' for that kindof money. Ridiculous.
As a fan of his earlier films and Pineapple Express I was pretty disappointed.
shareI didn't like Pineapple Express much but Your Highness was good fun.
shareIt could have been a great enjoyable adventure comedy if it weren´t for those cheap d*** und *beep* jokes. Really, where did the class go? Why not use humor like in the Monthy Python era without the need to be vulgar. It lost the chance of having class and being timeless. Stupid director, poor Natalie and the rest.
I hope David reads this and understands that d*** and *beep* jokes are outdated and make a movie less profitable in the long run (because kids can´t watch it and it can´t be shown on tv).
Movies are reflections of time, places and people.
I found this movie quite funny and entertaining and I consider myself a movie afficianado. Yes, much of the humor is childish, but McBride delivers his lines perfectly in a manner which mocks the genre as intended. This movie was very well done and I think folks that watch it and don't get a chuckle out of it are probably folks that generally find themselves often in positions where they just don't "get it".
