He doesn't look radically different in The Walk except for wearing a wig and blue contact lenses. Not sure what you're seeing, but I don't see it, and I call BS on how you "didn't recognize him".

He looks weathered. Wrinkles becoming more prominent, eyes getting smaller, mouth shrinking. You can tell he hasn't taken the best care of his skin. Add to that all the recent box office flops and the weight of going along with that arranged marriage, that'll send anyone's looks downhill fast.
