What about a video game adaptation?
I know he wants nothing to do with Comic Book movies...but what about...video game adaptations. Video Games have become far more story and character driven then any comic book. If Assassins Creed and Warcraft are hits, then video games will be the next big adaptation(Up there with Comic Books) Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu was going to direct a blockbuster, The Jungle Book but dropped out due to filming The Revenant.
