Birdman, 21 Grams, Biutiful and Amores Perros were superb. His films don't follow the traditional Hollywood nonsense but he is a very talented storyteller in my opinion.
Yeap he is talented Oooo-right , in curing insomnia, in making a movie 1000% longer than it needs to be, in making movies look that were shot in slow motion, and most importantly he has a great talent on giving the viewers time, what do i mean?
You can have the movie playing and have sex with your girlfriend, make a bath, dress up, go out take a pizza, come back and it is guaranteed that you wont have lost a single minute from the plot/story....yeap thats a talent.
The most thrilling-exciting thing in his movies is the ending credits.
About the story telling? what story telling? all of his movies either have extra dumb subjects or the plot/story is plain and straight forward as a toddlers book, what story telling?
Many directors do not follow hollywood and/or are from other countries/continents but their movies arent that bad, lame, super slow and exxxxxxxxtremely boring.
