Police were called out to a disturbance at the bail hostel where paedophile pop star Gary Glitter is staying following his release from prison.
A crowd of people is understood to have gathered outside the property in Hampshire on Saturday after the disgraced glam rock singer was freed the day before. He had served half of his 16-year sentence for sex crimes.
The 79-year-old, who had a string of chart hits in the 1970s, was jailed in 2015 for sexually abusing three schoolgirls.

He has been recalled to prison after footage of him trying to access the 'dark web' whilst in his bail hostel has surfaced.
Long story short, he was trying to access child pornography.

Why do they always say that? Why not just KILL him? In fact, they did just that in a mockumentary in which Glitter was the first criminal executed by hanging in Britain since 1965! Unfortunately, they never did it for REAL.
He should be kept in a cage and poked with cattle prods, showered with ice cold urine and forcibly given the daftest haircut known to man and hell they should get Tyson Fury to come in every now and again to use his bollocks as a speedbag.
