shareI'm from Dublin, like Gleeson and when I worked in Canada years ago, many Toronto Canadians mistook me as being from Newfie. I also saw a programme on trappers in Newfie and the trappers Newfie accent was actually rather similar to a Dublin accent, oddly enough. Maybe Gleeson didn't have to try very hard.
