Trilogy with director John Michael McDonagh?

I've really enjoyed The Guard and Calvary, both directed by John Michael McDonagh. Not too long ago I saw something about a working relationship between Brendan Gleeson and John M. McDonagh to the effect that McDonagh wanted to make three different movies with Gleeson, with the actor playing a different character in each film and each film being quite different from the others.

Since they're two thirds of the way there I'm wondering if anyone has read more than this. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish reading the article and I have no idea if McDonagh spoke about a title or genre category that he had planned for the third film. Both men show some upcoming titles here on IMDb but none show them working together again, so for now it just looks like each is going his own way and is busy with other projects.
