Boston Public disappearance

Whatever happened to her character?

"Are you the bad Slayer now? Am I the good Slayer now?"

She really just vanished, although her character was mentioned in the next series as teaching at a private school.

With BOSTON PUBLIC a lot of cast departures were unexplained or even farewelled as the actors would simply be cut, or quit - and it's immediate and that's it.

she quit becuz her role was diminishing... and once Jeri Ryan was added, Ryan became the lead...

anyway Jessalyn is on Nip-Tuck now...

Oh, wicked!!
So she's in series 2 as well? I love that show. The season finale was a great episode. I felt sorry for her character, a tad sex obsessed and a tad white trash.

What happened was this: the show was already falling apart, Nicky Katt was looking away from Boston Public and seeking a career elsewhere, Jessalyn was probably following suit and the arrival of Mike and Jeri simply sped up her departure from the show.

The show fell apart mainly because they kept introducing too many new characters in my opinion. You never got to know the characters well.

I don't think that was the main problem; the main problem was David E. Kelly who always sinks his shows with his bad writing and ludricous plots, what an overrated producer. He crashed Boston Public in the same manner he crashes his other shows, the cast for any of his shows should not be scapegoated for the shows failures.

Fair comments, although I was far more upset about Nicky Katt leaving the show than Jessalyn Gilsigh vanishing, although non-explanation for her dissapearance was very annoying. But I still felt that the awful writing and stories killed it for me more than any cast changes and it is obvious that Boston Legal could go down the same road as Boston Public with it's bizarre storylines.
