Has anyone seen Hunted?

I just don't buy her as a super spy, and she doesn't do a good job of showing emotional turmoil or danger. She was much better on Alias, and even in Triangle.

I think she was great in it. There were plot holes and some crazy situations written for character but that was a fault of a writer.

reply

No. Haven't seen it. Not going to. It looks a silly show. And if there's faults in the writing, all the more reason not to see it.

reply

Honestly there's been so many "badass chick spy" shows in the past or currently that we don't need anymore. Not to mention I just can't take her seriously with her duckface always on full blast.

I agree, FAR too many shows like this around already and it was boring too.

Mel wasn't at her best either but the show was poor to begin with !!

It was a masterpiece to me. Obviously it had It's faults but I watched it 3 times from dvd already and love it. There is alot of shows which are KINDA like that, but nothing like 'Hunted'. Correct me if I'm wrong but is there ANY tv series so ruthless and violent with a ruthless, careless characters? Yeah - 'Nikita' is a killer but even she kills for a government, for her country, she kills the bad guys who are threat to national security.

Agents in 'Hunted' work for a private company, they are basically hired mercenaries. They kill without mercy and they work for the highest bidder. They don't care about national threat or anything like it. This is what I love about it, because It's unique. Average Joe will hate it because there are hardly any characters you can keep your fingers crossed for. But I don't care. I have seen enough of good hearted guys/gals trying to save the world or the country.

It's also extremely well acted but because there is quite alot of WTF situations written in the script, some people think acting sucks. Well - it doesn't. You can put Robert De Niro(or any other top actor) in the syfy channel movie with a title like '2 Headed Shark Attack' and he will sound just the same as a small time B movie actor.

Exactly--none of them were doing it for a reason except money. They can't even use "patriotism" as an excuse. It's kind of a brutal, effed up show, but I'd say it was closer to how real spying/wetwork is emotionally than anything else you see on TV. They are not heroes.

Her character is supposed to "have ice in her veins" to quote one of her co-workers. To be stripped down, hard, and emotionally distant (only to get attached to the child). Did all the Snow Maiden stuff not tip you off? I thought the show and her performance/character were really good and was sad to see it cancelled. I heard something about a Sam Hunter spin-off but it's not listed at IMDB so it's probably not happening.

reply

Sam Hunter is deader than Kelsey's nuts.
