As long as David Tennant is Kenny Everett in it, that would be great - it would certainly be an amalgam of slightly dodgy glam era media icons.

Yes! I've always thought that he would be perfect for Stanshall. Everything is just right - the looks, the voice, the sense of humour....he would be great.
