His profound knowledge of human anatomy, his passion and imagination I think puts Frazetta in a league of his own. Is he the consummate artist that Michelangelo is? No. For one thing, to the best of my knowledge, Frank does not sculpt. He has never made an image as moving as The Pieta; but when it comes to muscles, pulchritude, weapons, blood and testosterone, he more than holds his own. That’s why his work was on the cover of every Molly Hatchet album.

He also did a cover for Nazareth that’s really cool. I saw his work at a comic con. Robert Rodriguez was the one who put on the exhibit. It was all really cool. The stories told thru paintings are awesome.

Rock n’ roll will never die, and Frank is visual hard metal rock.
