Look at his hair only a little over a year ago:

Widow's peak and overall thinness are quite easy to spot.

Now compare this to his thick mane of jet-black hair these days:

It just stroke me as odd considering he seemed like he didn't care much about his looks the past years, often showing up scruffy looking.

It's pretty noticeable, especially if you compare it to his Freaks and Geeks (1999 - 2000) days (very left):
