any nominations for Shameless

I just caught up on this week's episode and I had the same exact thought. The growth his character has shown from season one through this week is amazing, and his work is fantastic. I almost broke down when Mickey told Lip to send him to the mental hospital. When he left the message on Ian's phone saying that he loved him, I actually got a smile. He's fantastic.

I think one reason is because award shows need another category besides Comedy or Drama for shows like Shameless. The last two season it really has been more drama then comedy. I think it's hard for the actors to get nominations because if the show is in the comedy category there story lines are too serious to be nominated. That said I 100% agree both this season and even more so his work last season deserved at the very a nomination somewhere.
