Seriously, 2 different Law + Order shows

He appears as 2 completely different characters, on Criminal Intent, then SVU...a year apart. Sure he's kind of a useless character in his only CI episode, then most viewers want to snap his neck in his minor annoyance turned criminal offender in his 4 SVU episodes, but isn't it realistic that a lot of viewers who watch both shows would recognize him right away, with the same faux hawkish hairdo even? Seems like lazy casting, but I'm sure I've pissed off his fan club and I'm gonna hear about it now...

If you look at the credits of alot of actors & actresses you will often see that in alot of cases they have done more than one Law & Order show or more that one C.S.I. show. My guess would be that the producers like the actor or actress and use them again because how good they are and how well they work with everybody who works on or in the show.

Yeah its become kind of a Law and Order tradition. BOTH Ice T and Courtney B Vance played one off criminals on the original L&O show before they were both given full time roles in SVU and CI respectively. In fact it really just speaks to the fact how big the franchise is because they use up so many guest starring roles in the 700+ episodes the franchinse has done up until now its not a shock actors will just repeat.

And it also goes to the idea that they really impressed them in their debut roles that they liked them so much decided to make them full time or recurring on the other shows. Not a shock why.

Marvel 2015: Agents of Shield, Agent Carter, Avengers 2, Daredevil, Ant-Man, Jessica Jones!

This has gone on since the 70's. Don Johnson, Michael Douglas, Meredith Baxter, Denzel Washington, William Shatner, Diane Keaton, et al., cut their teeth on guest spots as entirely different characters on popular shows of the day. Some of them now portray seniors and parents or grandparents of lead characters on today's shows. Still more-not all, were huge leading stars in their time, now reduced to obscure guest spots. Proof positive that what goes up...
