Absolutely love him in Shameless

On season 4 now, and while the show itself is incredibly, Noel as Mickey just stands out! I never would have guessed that this thug character from the first season would develop into such a multi layered person that I care about!
I've always really enjoyed relationship developments and have never been too attached to any on screen gay couples. Nothing against it, I just never saw a gay couple that I really loved. I love Ian and Mickey. I love how their relationship developed over the seasons and how they interact with each other. I've read many posts about how unhealthy their relationship is, and I definitely see that, but every relationship on this show is at least somewhat unhealthy. At least at this point, Mickey really cares for Ian and every scene that they have together is like magical to me. Such fantastic acting!

I agree, Micky has become my favorite character (currently on S5). He shows great range in this role and his scenes dealing with Ian's illness have actually brought tears to my eyes! Was awesome watching him go from a useless punk to a loving human being, great job Noel!! (And let's not forget the humor either, I love dry one liners!)

I agree - I really love what he brought to the show. To be honest, Noel is the reason I kept watching. There was a point early on where I was going to quit started looking for other things to watch during winter break, because I was getting bored with the show. But that's about when Noel's story started picking up. There was a time where I was so done with almost every other story line other than his.
