I cant think of another actress that could have pulled that role off that perfectly. The perfect timing, facial gestures, and ability to come across as kind of mousy really made the romance between her and Jim believable.
Unfortunately she hasn't found similar success in other roles, but reading her bio it sounds like that is just fine with her and how many people can say they played a character as well known and beloved as Pam?
