Castle - any idea what happened?

I heard that he didn't get along with his costar, and that he often made her cry.

I always thought he was a good guy.

I haven't actually watched Castle, but can someone tell me anything about why it was abruptly canceled?

Thanks,

Charlie O.

Well, nobody really knows what happened. The sad thing is that despite that people took sides. Nathan or Stana and they both recieved life treats. What a sick world.

Fact: people who works and saw them at some point (fans)say that both of them are really nice. They talk to fans, treat them with respect, spend time with them, take photos and so on.

My guess. I thing that is obvious that at some point they dont get along like they do, but nobody knows why. People at work dont always get along, right?

Life treats? What the hell does that mean?

I heard that he didn't get along with his costar, and that he often made her cry. This has never once been confirmed. It's just a rumor being circulated by fans who love gossip.I would also love to know the real story but so far there have been no genuine facts about what went on behind the scenes.

I heard it was budget cuts. Stana wasn't the only cast member let go. For a few months it looked like Nathan planned to continue alone then he abruptly said no before signing his contract. So they cancelled the show.

This is the most likely reason. The simple fact is if you look at the rating for the show it peaked about the 4th season and then started the steady decline. Salaries for the stars didn't go down when the ratings did so it became a more expensive show to produce versus the amount of ad revenue it could generate. That resulted in cuts being made. There was also the fact that once the two got married it eliminated the need for her to even be on the show as her main thing was to be his will she won't she romantic interest. Once the marriage happened the show was really doomed unless it had a massive overhaul.

The show was called "Castle" which means they were never going to be able to cut back on his screen time or prominence in the show but they could cut her down to fewer episodes and save money. She didn't go for it and walked. They probably should have just killed her off in an episode and then could have spend a season or two on him trying to track down the killer... but they didn't go that direction. He apparently didn't think the direction the show was now headed would work so he walked. I doubt the show runners cared much at all whether the show continued as it already had 175 episodes which is more than enough to syndication so it was a show on the decline that would need to be killed soon anyways.
