She's really great to watch on Bates Motel! When Norma has those mini freak outs, it's really funny and it shows that Vera brought her own to the character. Plus on top of all that, I loved her was brilliant in the Conjuring, which I looking forward to seeing it's sequel. I wish her the best to come in her career!!
shareshe's THE reason i bothered with Bates Motel in the first place. the show itself is good, but not great though.
i think her most memorable movies are...
1.The Departed (2006) - 10/10 (my #1 film of 2006)
2.Source Code (2011) - 8.5-9/10 (my #1 film of 2011)
3.Up in the Air (2009) - 8-8.5/10 (my #2 film of 2009)
4.Running Scared (2006) - 7.5-8/10 (between my 6th-9th favorite movie of 2006. also, this contains my favorite scene of Vera's which is the 'pedophile scene' (that's not as bad as it sounds))
5.Orphan (2009) (my #4 film of 2009. also, she's the lead actress in this)
6.At Middleton (2013) - 7-7.5/10 (my #3 movie of 2013)
i would say The Conjuring would likely be my #7 spot though with a 6/10. i have seen it twice now.

If Vera was not in Bates Motel I would not watch it. But she is so I don't miss an episode.
shareYeah, if she was not on there i would probably not see it either (especially given that i don't see TV on the same level as movies in general as TV shows are pretty much a dime-a-dozen in general especially on the major networks).
but... if she's killed off at some point ill probably finish up the season which i would assume will be when the show is on it's last season anyways as i would think if she is killed off there won't be many episodes left. but i guess the core of the show is Norma(Vera Farmiga)/Norman(Freddie Highmore) Bates so those two have to be heavily involved in general.
but i have not missed a single episode either (well technically i still need to catch up on the last two episodes of the current season(episodes 6/7)) as like i have said before ill watch pretty much anything Vera is in especially if she's got decent screen time.

Same here. As a matter of fact I have 3 episodes to check up on. I have my DVR set to tape all new episodes and have been busy and not had a chance to watch them all.
I will keep watching for a while when they kill off Vera because I bet they bring her back in flashbacks.
now i got to catch up on Episode 7/8. Episode 8 just aired about a couple hours ago.
side note: Bates Motel is nearly the only currently running show i am watching. not much on TV in general is worth watching (sure, i watch some reality TV etc but outside of that there is not much i watch on TV) as i tend to get into movies more in general as there is a much higher volume of quality movies out there than TV shows especially given movies only burn up about 2 hours of your time where as TV shows burn many hours. i tend to re-watch plenty of movies to where as when it comes to re-watching TV shows there is a very select group that are good enough for me to re-watch (i.e. The Sopranos/Breaking Bad (the only 10/10 level TV shows i have seen as everything else is about a 7.5-8/10 tops)) and not much outside of those two)

I know what you mean. I pay 149 dollars a month foe Directv. We get tons of stations but watch only a handful. I wish we could just pick the stations we want to watch and just pay for them.

she talks about them filming her in an episode of Bates Motel with her playing a guitar etc but it never made it into the episode. and talks a bit about some random stuff like that picture of her in that Corvette (which she posted on Twitter a while back) a while ago which she got for her 40th b-day from Renn(Husband) etc.
they also asked her at the end of the interview/video if there was someone she could spy on or get a glimpse into their life who would it be and she said "i am not gonna say, im not gonna say who i really wanna peep on. i just have too much dignity. and i don't wanna creep that person out. i really don't." then the interviewer said, "is it an actor?" and Vera said, "No" and interviewer said "can you give me a hint?" Vera: 'No, no i can't tell you. but it is someone very alluring. but i am not gonna tell you who it is. oh it's so lame i know. but i don't want him(this she slipped ;) ), THEM to know" then interviewer said "can we cut and then you'll tell me?" then Vera said 'No' (while laughing etc, which is great! ;)) and that was it. it ended. we will never know who it is.
one of the better interviews of hers to watch if you ask me. it never gets old watching her goof around and laugh as those who find her very attractive will agree that's one of the better interviews of her's i have seen ;) (that person who interviewed Vera needs to do that more often as she seems pretty good at getting her to laugh)
