From the trivia: "Last name was Randall, but he changed it to Embry because it was his grandfather's last name."
Ok so I can see why he changed it to the name Embry but why did he take that name at all? Why at that particular time? And why didn't he just call himself Ethan Embry from the beginning of his acting career? Just curious. Thanks.

Maybe he had no choice in the matter when it came to his real name, Randall, because he was a kid.... Then when he became an adult he changed it to Embry?
Even though it seems like a nice gesture to his grandfather, it seems kind of like a diss to his parents.
