Bret Easton Ellis tells 'spoiled children' liberals to deal with Trump: 'He was elected president. Get over it.'

Now middle-aged, the enfant terrible novelist Bret Easton Ellis, has turned to nonfiction to mock the "childlike fascism" and "demented narcissism" of American liberals that helped put President Trump in the White House and left them facing "mental and emotional collapse."

For good measure, Ellis, 55, also denounces the "legacy media" in his new book "White" — originally due to be called "White Privileged Male" — describing it as "a moral disaster for the country" that had covered Trump in the 2016 with such bias and "absolute cluelessness" that it assisted him.

This, he argues, has been fostered by "overprotective, helicopter moms and dads mapping their every move" while "smothering their kids and not teaching them how to deal with life's hardships ... people might not like you, this person will not love you back, kids are really cruel, work sucks, it's hard to be good at something, your days will be made up of failure and disappointment, you're not talented, people suffer, people grow older, people die."

"Generation Wuss," he writes, became consumed by "victim narratives" and "anxiety and neediness." More darkly, and with the help of social media, Ellis diagnoses a growing inability to accept or even listen to viewpoints that differ from a "woke" status quo.

When he heard people using words like "Hitlerian" and "apocalypse," he writes, he'd "stare at them while a tiny voice in the back of my head started sighing, You are the biggest fucking baby I've ever fucking heard in my entire fucking life and please you've got to fucking calm the fuck down — I get it, I get it, you don't like fucking Trump but for fuck's sake enough already for fuck's sake."

I always liked him that it sounds interesting.

You don't have to agree, but listening to different opinions is great.

But he's right about "liberalism" becoming obnoxious and stupid. But, whenever small minded people latch on to a concept they ruin in view "black and white" thinking. You either agree or we hate you and will destroy you. That's what liberalism turned into.

In reality, liberalism is about create thinking and novel solutions, it's the definition. Liberal aren't that and Conservatives aren't either.

I believe both camps are actually conservative due to them being stuck on traditional issues.

So if liberalism is so obnoxious and stupid, how has it enabled conservativism to become obnoxious and stupid too? How does it empower the exact same problem on the other side of the spectrum?

Answer: THE ENTIRE SPECTRUM IS GOING THAT DIRECTION, and I can see this better than even the Democrats on here because I am a tried and true capital-a Anarchist.

It's a mathematical guarantee that democracy will do this. Enjoy the show.

If you have a polarizing opinion you inspire others to do the same.

So, liberals developed traditional topics that they never move from. These topics became increasingly exacting. That means you have have XZY attitude, or you're a bad person. If you have an exacting attitude it's most likely unrealistic and your positions become achievable.

The conservative response was to respond to the liberal topics with an opposite set of extremes. In addition, conservatives have always had unrealistic ideas. Capitalism doesn't work, religion isn't real, women have been aborting kids since recorded history, and so forth.

So, both sides are Fantasy Traditionalists.

Fantasies cause intense emotions about something that's not real.

He is really mad that Chuck Palahniuk wrote Fight Club and not him, because he's literally just parroting that 20 year old movie from a slightly older book. That's all he's saying.

He's even more mad that Chuck is gay.

Again he forgets like all the rest that Trump did not earn the vote of the people. He got elected by technicality only.

The only person whining here is Bret, whining about whining.... YET HE THINKS HE'S NOT WHINING.

That's the funniest part about the anti crowd, they are everything they decry and they refuse to see it because their anti nature makes them blind to it.

Why are you just saying lies? And lies that do not even make sense.

He has never stated that he is mad that Chuck Palahniuk wrote Fight Club. Why would he? There are some comparisons between unreliable narrators and yuppie culture, but by and large they are two completely different stories.

Again why would he be mad at Chuck for being gay? Ellis is gay himself and has never stated he hates people based on sexual orientation.

How did Trump not earn the vote of the people? The lost popular vote as did George W. Bush who went on to win the election. I really hope you are joking, because this is sad that I have to explain this to you. Trump did not win by a technicality. Presidents are elected based on Electoral College from each state. Electoral College is based on a State's populations (the higher the states population, the greater Electoral College votes). If the majority of the state's population votes for a candidate, they automatically win all of that state's Electoral College votes.

Ellis is not whining. He is laminating on people who are whining, bitching, and claiming the election was rigged. I have met people who have claimed it through the entire election and it was a chore to be around them, because they refused to listen to fact or logic and if you did not agree with them, they would treat you like garbage. I completely agree with Ellis here, as he is right on point.

Finally why did, you post here just to lie? Are you one of the people that Ellis was talking about and got pissed when he called you out on your hypocrisy and entitlement?
