I agree. But I wonder how important these accolades are to him. He's been nominated a couple times for the Golden Globes, he won the Olivier for the title role in Othello, and the Independent Spirit Award for his role in Talk to Me.
The great thing about the Oscars is its ability to highlight an actors talent. And all the other junk that comes with celebrity-ism.
I hope he's ready for all that!!
