has to be the next bond

Daniel Craig virtually cast himself as bond when he was sneaking around with a gun and executing people in layer cake; and for me, Chiwetel did the same with his *stunning* performance in serenity.

i've had enough of D.Craig now tbh. casino royale was awesome, but QoS was a rubbish, and skyfall was ok, but didn't deserve all the fanfare it deserved. we need a new bond and Chiwetel Ejiofor would be perfect.

With a screenname like mine, you know I'm going to approve your choice of Ejiofor as Craig's successor.

However, Ejiofor as Bond would subvert everything the Bond franchise (Ian Fleming) ever stood for. Some diehard Bond fans shudder at the thought, while I relish it. Race isn't an intrinsic concern in most casting these days, but in this case it would be front and center.

It may come down to him or Idris Elba and I have to be honest when I say that I think both are great but not sure who gets my vote as the new Bond. Ejiofor seems more like Roger Moore, more suave and less macho but Elba is large and intimidating kinda like current Bond. Either one can pull it off, just with a diff style.

LOVED Ejiofor in Serenity. However, I feel I must call as Exhibit A, 1999's 'Wild Wild West'.

Carpe Noctem!

Definitely agree with that----Elba fits the physical look and build of Bond to a T, which is why he's a virtual shoo-in for the role. Ejiofor dosen't quite fit that, which is why I think he'd be a perfect, intriguing and refreshing choice for the role---his Bond would have an easier time sneaking up on villains precisely because he wouldn't come off looking too much like a threat---at first glance, that it.

Either one can pull it off, just with a diff style.

Exactly! And that what's fun about picking out either one of them for the role----they both have something unique to bring to the table!

Stop lying and making up stuff Ian Fleming purposely never gave bond an Identity in the books, he did this because he didn't want bonds image to be a stereotype, he wanted it to come from how bond acted, under the notion that to be British was defined by how you acted.

Now you're making stuff up, Bond was given a description of what the character looked like, particularly in From Russia with Love.

slim build; a three-inch long, thin vertical scar on his right cheek; blue-grey eyes; a "cruel" mouth; short, black hair, a comma of which falls on his forehead. Physically he is described as 183 centimetres (6 feet) in height and 76 kilograms (167 lb) in weight. After Casino Royale, Bond also had the faint scar of the Russian cyrillic letter "Ш" (SH) (for Shpion: "Spy") on the back of one of his hands, carved by a SMERSH agent.
