I did some research on her a while back, when she was cast in a TV show where she was later replaced.

Her parents are Christina Hart (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0366202) and Frank Doubleday (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0234664/). She has an older sister, Kaitlin Doubleday (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1291974/) who was a regular on the TV show "Cavemen".

That's all I could find out.

I found a small bio on an official movie website:

Portia just wrapped YOUTH IN REVOLT starring opposite Michael Cera and directed by Miguel Arteta. Based on the cult novel by C.D. Payne, the film focuses on 'Nick Twisp', (Cera), a sardonic, rebellious and sexually obsessed teenager who tries to win over the affections of the gorgeous, refined and witty 'Sheeni' (Doubleday).

A coveted role among many young actresses, "Revolt" marks Portia’s feature film debut. Having grown up in LA and graduated from LACES High School, Portia was in the middle of her sophomore year of college studying psychology when she landed the part. It is rare these days to star in your first feature. Portia is that special.

LACES is both a high school and a middle school. I met her when she was in 8th grade in a Play Production class. She's a really nice girl. I was pretty shy and she went out of her way to make sure people included me in conversations and the like. The class put on a production of Rogers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and Portia played the Stepmother. I did her makeup and helped her with her costumes. I'm surprised it took so long for her to land a major role, she's incredibly talented.

When I saw the trailer I thought she was my friend - they're a spitting image of each other!

We're having too much fun today we ain't thinking about tomorrow.
