Absolute genius of an actor, totally underappreciated

I know he's not trying to be a "star," but he deserves much greater acclaim than he gets. He is such a thorough, detailed actor and yet somehow naturalistic at the same time. He takes over each role and becomes inseparable from the character, totally real in each moment. And every role I've seen him in has been so drastically different from the next. If 20 people had each seen him in one role each, 20 different roles, I think they would each say, "Well clearly Dillahunt was born to play exactly this type of role. He'll probably be typecast as X." But each "X" would be 1 of 20 profoundly diverse characters.

I'm so impressed with his range. Just recently noticed him in some of his more theatrical roles, and am blown away!

Agreed with all in topic.

I concur.

Great post. Totally agree with you. He was also super in Deadwood. Wish they had found a role for him in Homeland.
