I know she's Australian but her accent doesn't sound like the typical Australian's and it sounds different from the interviews I've seen of her on YouTube. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm really curious.

shareI've seen her in Once Upon a Time and Lost, and she doesn't sound like a real Aussie in either one. She emphasises her words too much. She pronounces Aaron the same as Erin. It's just grating.
But the thing is, I heard a radio interview of her's once, and she sounded normal! I don't understand why she can talk properly in interviews but not in shows. It just baffles me.
Surely the accent variations are due to her playing a character in a tv show, rather than herself.
shareIf that were the case, then I'd understand the more emphasised speech, and less choppy words. But to say Aaron as Erin - something that flat out does not happen in Australia - is more of her putting on a fake voice than changing her voice to suit the character.

I can't stand the fact she has an Aussie accent. It's ruining one of my favorite fairy tale characters. I love the actress but my god lose the accent!
