Accent on OUAT
I'm so confused by the Belle character. She has her Aussie accent but her dad on the show doesn't have one. I feel like a lot of characters on the show have accents and their families don't have the same.

shareYeah. They should have just made her do an American accent considering she rocked it in another movie.
shareNaha, let her keep it. It's a fairy tale. Besides, Mel Gibson lost his Aussie accent and look what happened to him.
shareShe annoys the lining daylights out of me with her voice and accent
share*living* not lining lol
shareHer father on the show DID have an Australian accent. Mo French was played by Australian actor Eric Keenleyside.
shareThat's actually one of the things I like about OUAT-- they let everyone have their own accents. So many shows try to class things up by doing an English accent, which I totally understand why they do it (it works!), but I like that OUAT let people talk pretty much the way they naturally do.
I agree that it doesn't make sense that she has an Australian accent and her family doesn't, but we're talking about a show that's literally built on continuity. It's best not to nit-pick with OUAT because it's pretty much all flaws (but we still love it).
Lol it doesn't matter anyway, OUaT has derailed from the original in many ways. đ
