'Fauteuils d'orchestre' in 2007

Cecile fans,

As per Daily Variety, "Fauteuils d'orchestre" will be France's official entry to the Oscars. It is going to be released in the US by ThinkFilm in February 2007 just after the nominations are announced. If the movie is nominated, I would look for Sydney Pollack (who has a significant acting role in the film) to help push its chances for the award.

For those who have not seen it, it's a ensemble comedy with Cecile as a young waitress who interacts with the rest of the cast. It's a departure from the other movies that we have seen over in the States. Cecile is very charming and Valerie Lemercier is hysterical.

For some reason, the title will be changed for the US release to "Avenue Montaigne" which is the avenue where most of the film takes place.
