Give her the Oscar so I can stop . . .

...hearing about how entitled she is, how she's been snubbed of nominations or robbed of Oscars. She's a good actress but I'm not impressed because I don't see a lot of range in her roles. She is no Meryl Streep and will never be, so stop comparing them. She must pay her publicity staff plenty to keep her in the public eye because I don't understand her great appeal. In terms of great actresses of color, I find Alfre Woodard and Octavia Spencer much more interesting and appealing. So give poor, suffering Viola an Oscar and hopefully all her fans will finally shut up.

To each their own....

But you're right she's no Meryl Streep...She's Viola Davis, she's in her own caliber of acting, on the same level as Meryl.
You're talking like Alfre W and Octavia Spencer dont play the same roles over and over as well. If she does win an Oscar, its because she earned it.

Viola is good and deserved an Oscar for The Help. From this year's nominee's, I can't see someone other than her winning. Maybe Naomie Harris. Michelle and Octavia are correct in their roles. Nicole is subpar.
And about giving someone as Oscar so their fans would shut up: they've done this to Julianne Moore and DiCaprio. Rosamund Pike and Fassbender were honestly robbed those years.

Her performance in The Help was a supporting one and her performance in Fences should have been put in the best actress category
