Thank you for all the great songs you wrote that others recorded, thank you for the songs you recorded and gave to us (my favorite: happiness is Lubbock Texas in my rearview mirror), your great TV show and for your role in North Dallas Forty. Your first hit told us Baby don't get hooked on me - but a lot of us sure did. RIP Mac. We will miss you.

I remember Mac from the '70s, when he was a huge star. He was a great entertainer, and seemed to be a really nice guy. Sorry he's gone.

I was a little girl, but the "Baby, Don't Get Hooked on Me" song is my fave.
