Agreed, in all the episodes of Hannibal, I didn't hear his true accent slip in even once.
shareI'm in the minority that didn't really rate Hugh Laurie's US accent very highly.
I'd say Damian Lewis, Dominic West and Idris Elba are more convincing than Laurie. In fact I'd say that the most flawless US accent by a Brit male actor is Freddie Highmore in Bates Motel. It's impeccable.
Oh and another perfect accent is by Matthew Rhys in, ironically, The Americans.
His is one of the best among non-American male actors. Damian Lewis has a great American accent, too. The best, however, belongs to Jamie Bamber.
Hugh Laurie's is over-rated.
