Please don't kill off Desmond...he and Penny have a love that transcends all time!!! Sawyer may be good for a roll in the hay (a good long roll, I might add!) but Desmond is a keeper.

Agreed! Desmond is perhaps my all time favourite character.
The opening of Lost season 2 (S02E01) is the most intense and mysterious motion picture I've ever seen in any movie or tv-show!

As long as Penny and Desmond get to be together at the end of this show, I will be happy!
And if they don't, well at least they were able to talk to one another and say they loved each other.

I believe they (Lindelof and Cuse) have said that the relationship between Des and Penny is just as important to the show as what is going on with everyone else.

That being said, I think the only way they could kill off Des would be to save Penny's life.
