I always thought he should have brought his body back. I don't know how and no it's not practical but it always rubbed me the wrong way.

I agree with you...however I have a feeling they have something planned for Dominic (maybe not for this season but next--maybe near the finale.) It's probably why Desmond didn't bring back his body--which was indeed...odd to say the least!

Charlie is dead and it's not weird that Des didn't bring his body back considering that he would've drowned himself just trying to get it out.
shareAs much as I loved Charlie, he needs to stay dead for his death to have significance. Who knows? Maybe the writers have a perfectly logical way for him to return.
I believe that Desmond didn't bring his body back because if he opened the door, he would have drowned too.
The EPs have stated many times that when someone dies on 'LOST', they stay dead. And thank god for that.
