Marton in Into The Badlands

Marton will be appearing in the upcoming 6 part miniseries Into The Badlands according to Deadline.

Csokas will play Quinn, the most powerful baron in the Badlands, who spent his youth patrolling the Badlands and killing. Once a great fighter, he now reigns in power, and nobody who crosses him lives to tell the tale.

AMC has aired four episodes of Into the Badlands so far, and Marton has been fantastic.

As Baron Quinn, he has an imposing physical presence, and he's utterly believable as a ruthless warlord. He's been great in his action scenes as well, and I love the slow drawl he uses for this character. As a viewer, you can understand why people are afraid of him, and he's got those same qualities that you see in other famous TV/film psychopaths, from James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano, to Benedict Wong as Kublai Khan, to Igal Naor as Saddam Hussein...

There are reasons to believe his character might not return if the series gets renewed, but I'm hoping Quinn makes it. ITB has been averaging more than 5 million viewers per episode, so I have to think AMC is going to renew the series with those numbers.

I HOPE he returns(If hes not killed off). He tends to only do one series of TV shows.

He's doing a great job in the show. I'm actually surprised we don't hear from this guy a lot more. Especially because he's rather handsome, which usually helps in Hollywood (and is even the only reason some get parts).

Sadly, he's the only interesting character, and that's due to his performance. The writing has been pretty weak thus far.

darn!!! The only one series streak continues.
