The Naked Ape

I never got to see this film but it's considered a complete flop. I read a review by one guy who called it a movie trainwreck. Too bad Johnny agreed to do it but he does look good in that wedding scene with Victoria. I know he wanted to play a different type of guy from Mark McCain but this was not the vehicle to use. Anyway it was produced through Playboy and later he was the first male every to pose nude probably to change his image. I think he could have been a big star with the right movie and cuter than Pitt, Cruise or anyone.

Johnny didn't pose nude. Playboy took a still of him nude from "The Naked Ape" and included it in the Playboy issue "Sex in Cinema". Johnny was the first man to ever appear nude in Playboy but it was not a photoshoot for them, it was a still from his movie that was printed in the magazine.
