I really surprised at the amount of hate for this actor. I've only seen him in All or Nothing and Lesbian Vampire Killers. I thought he was very good in both films. He gets no exposure here in Canada so maybe Im missing something.
I watched that debacle with Patrick Stewart and think Stewart comes across as the jerk for calling him out for just standing there.

shareI don't get it either, buddy4000. The guy's funny, and a talented actor in non-comedic roles as well (like "The History Boys").
Most people criticising him on these boards make prominent mention of the fact that he's fat as a reason for disliking him. That might be a clue to their level of intelligence.

It;s because all the Trekkie nerds are bashing him for the back-and-forth he had with Patrick Stewart. Even though anyone with a brain can see that Patrick Stewart started it and was a total dick. I'm not saying James responded any better, but Stewart was being such an *beep*
